My name is Mitch Robinson. I am a photographer, videographer, and editor.

Hey! Thanks for visiting my site. If you don’t mind, I’d like to share a little summary of my creative journey. I got my first camera, a Nikon D3100, for my 15th birthday and instantly fell in love with photography. I started shooting my high school’s sports teams not long after, at which point I was really hooked on sports photography. I spent my last two years of high school on the yearbook staff primarily as a photographer, and from that point on I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life.

Since then, my camera has taken me to places I never dreamed of going, from multiple NCAA tournaments to high school state championships. Once I got to college, I expanded my skillset to include live broadcast production and creative video. On the live production side, I’ve done just about everything: camera, replay, TD, directing, and even color commentary. But the majority of my professional experience is in creative video, which takes me to the next part of this journey.

Since I graduated college in May of 2022, I’ve been working for the Pitt football team as Director of Video Production. Over the past few years, I feel I’ve grown exponentially in every aspect of my professional life. I’ve become a far better editor, a better shooter, a better storyteller, a better sound mixer and colorist, and a better teammate.

Outside of my work, I enjoy anything outdoors and/or active: hiking, fishing, pickleball, swimming, weightlifting, baseball, softball, ultimate frisbee, soccer–I love it all. I’d like to think I’m a curious person, so I also enjoy diving into Internet rabbit holes about random subjects that gain me nothing more than some trivia knowledge and personal satisfaction. Lastly but most importantly, I have some of the most amazing and supportive friends and family in the world. I wouldn’t be where I am without my parents (who bought me that camera back in 2014), my fiancée, or my friends, both within and outside of the sports creative world. I am constantly pinching myself in this industry, and I’m so excited to see where this dream leads me next.
